Drinking water pipe line crosses motorway by using AGRU Sureline pipes

AGRU Sureline with protective layer pipes enabled challenging horizontal directional drilling installation

New drinking water pipe lines needed to be installed in order to connect a drinking water reservoir with the surrounding communities in Wels, Austria. The main challenge of the project represented a crossing of the motorway.

The building contractor decided to use the efficient and cost-saving horizontal directional drilling technique followed by the insertation of AGRU Sureline with protective layer pipes to overcome this obstacle. The remaining AGRU Sureline pipes were laid through the conventional trench technique.
