Process tanks lined with fabric backed PP sheets

AGRU supplied 270 m² of fabric backed PP sheets as well as several PP fittings to its customer Atolli Oy. They were used by Muovityö Hiltunen Oy to build three process vessels of an ultrafiltration plant.

AGRU supplied laminated PP sheets for lining the tanks.

A feed water tank and a separator tank with diameters of 4,500 mm and heights of 6,865 m and a permeate tank with a diameter of 5,200 mm and a height of 6,665 mm were manufactured from glass fibre reinforced plastic by the tank builder Muovityö Hiltunen Oy. The integration of manholes with a diameter of 700 mm also had to be considered. In order to connect the media pipes, AGRU PP fittings with outer diameters between 25 mm and 300 mm were integrated into the tanks. The inside of the tanks became completely lined with the fabric backed PP sheets. Since the operating temperature of the medium varies between + 5°C and + 80°C, PP is the ideal thermoplastic solution. PP can be used in the temperature spectrum between - 5°C and + 95°C and is characterized by corrosion resistance, higher strength, stiffness, hardness and the associated higher temperature resistance.
