“Hi, my name is Nicole and I have been working at AGRU for 2 years. Here I am completing an apprenticeship as an office clerk. I decided to do an apprenticeship because it’s possible to work "on the job" right away and not just gain theoretical knowledge. I like it at AGRU very much because I'm allowed to work in different departments. This is how I get to know different tasks, working methods and constantly new colleagues.“
Nicole Korntner | Apprentice, Office Clerk
Previously, I worked in the purchasing, accounting, personnel and guest reception departments. In each area, I gradually gained more and more knowledge to be able to do some work myself, which would otherwise only be done by professionals. I always use the knowledge learned in the vocational school immediately and can thus immediately check the practical feasibility of the theory. During my training, I can use my strengths as orderliness, organization, helpfulness, creativity and having a good mood everyday.
In the last months, I was involved twice at international trade fairs. The first deployment took place at the IFAT 2018 in Munich and the second at the ACHEMA 2018 in Frankfurt. I was able to learn a lot of new things at the AGRU booth. Mainly I supported my colleagues in hosting the international guests. This was very easy for me, because my family owned a guest house and there was always a very sociable and communicative environment. When there were fewer guests at the booth, the application engineers explained our products and their scope of application to the last detail. The technical engineers and I could also go round the exhibition halls to see how our competitors presented themselves at the fairs. Since the stand staff came from different departments, I got to know a lot of colleagues in person, with whom I had contacted previously only by mail and telephone.
Especially exciting was the insight into the professional customer acquisition.
I was able to watch the sellers when new prospective customers came to the booth. From the data collection, the product presentation to the distribution of sales documents and brochures, I got to know the entire process. I definitely recommend AGRU to anyone who is looking for a varied and interesting apprenticeship. The good working atmosphere and the job guarantee after completing my apprenticeship makes the difference to other companies.
