DVS welding seminar at AGRU
In order to ensure uniform training and testing of the fluoroplastic welders at all training and testing centers, nationwide recognized plastic welder testers from DVS and VdTÜV had met for a plastic welding seminar at AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH.
The seminar was organized and managed by Mr. Werner Mieschke, a recognized fluoroplastic specialist, with the support of Mr. Johannes Derfler from AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH. Participants were examiners of TÜV, Handwerkskammer, the SLVen, the IKV, as well as own employees of the company AGRU.
The training was held at the AGRU company headquarters in Bad Hall, which made the course participants and the welding center an ideal learning area. In the practical part of the event, each of the seminar participants had the opportunity to prove their own skills in forming, gluing, lining, hot gas drawing and hot gas extrusion welding of fluoroplastics. As a result of the welding machine demonstrations, the course participants were able to convince themselves of the high quality and the equally high level of user friendliness of the newly developed AGRU IR welding machine series.
The subsequent testing of the welded training pieces developed into a workshop, where experiences were exchanged and common strategies for a material-appropriate testing of welded joints made of highly fluorinated plastics were discussed and documented.
Last not least, the inspectors were given a very interesting insight into the production of the company agru Kunststofftechnik, in particular in the production of fluoropolymer semi-finished products and the production of high-purity piping systems for the electronics industry under clean room conditions. It was possible to create a good basis for future qualification measures in the area of welding of fluoroplastics in the training and testing facilities.
