Fernley Facility Doubles Production Capacity
With its sixth manufacturing facility, AGRU is doubling its pipe production capacity in the United States in response to growing demand for AGRU XXL Piping Systems. More than 20 additional jobs are expected to be created at the new site by the end of 2026. Key applications include the rehabilitation and replacement of existing water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as high-volume-flow applications such as large-scale irrigation networks, industrial applications, mining, power generation, and energy projects. The pipes are characterized by their durability, flexibility, and corrosion resistance.
AGRU’s project support goes beyond manufacturing. The company works closely with project stakeholders and provides tailored solutions, including logistics and application engineering support. This solution-oriented approach combines the manufacture of solid-wall pressure pipes made from PE 100-RC and PE 4710 polyethylene grades with AGRU’s extensive experience and application expertise.
Continued Expansion in the United States
The new facility in Nevada is located adjacent to AGRU’s Fernley plant, which opened in 2008. This strategic expansion of large-diameter pipe production comes nine years after the opening of the first AGRU XXL Pipe Production Facility in Charleston. Numerous customers took the opportunity to experience the new production capabilities and high manufacturing standards firsthand during the opening celebrations. With this expansion, AGRU is strengthening its manufacturing base in the United States and further enhancing its ability to meet local customer requirements.
