IFAT Munich 2026: Solutions for Resilient Infrastructure, Water Treatment, and Long-Lasting Concrete Protection

From May 4–7, 2026, AGRU showcased innovative plastic solutions for the water, environmental, and industrial sectors at IFAT Munich. In Hall B3, cost-efficient piping systems, digital planning tools, seawater desalination solutions, and long-lasting concrete protection systems were at the center of numerous technical discussions with international visitors, engineers, and project partners.

IFAT 2026 once again demonstrated the growing demands placed on modern infrastructure. Topics such as climate adaptation, resource conservation, operational reliability, and long-term cost efficiency shaped many conversations throughout the exhibition. Visitors showed particular interest in solutions combining durable materials with efficient planning and maximum operational safety.

One of the key highlights was the AGRU SDR 26 portfolio for cost-efficient pressure piping systems up to 6 bar. These systems offer reduced material usage while maintaining high performance and are suitable for water and wastewater applications, irrigation systems, industrial facilities, and aquaculture projects. PE 100-RC components in SDR 26 also attracted significant attention from industry professionals.

The AGRU Digital Libraries received strong interest as well. The provided BIM and CAD data enable efficient and collision-free planning of modern piping systems. Visitors learned more about digital engineering workflows, validated 2D and 3D models, and ways to simplify planning, tendering, and documentation processes.

Another major focus was AGRU CUSTOMIZED PARTS. Customized fittings, prefabricated piping components, and project-specific solutions demonstrated how complex infrastructure and industrial projects can be implemented more efficiently and with simplified installation. The broad material portfolio — including PE, PP, and PVDF — enables highly flexible solutions for a wide range of applications.

AGRU solutions for seawater desalination also attracted strong interest during the exhibition. International visitors explored durable plastic systems for demanding water treatment applications and solutions designed to ensure maximum operational reliability even under highly corrosive conditions.

A special anniversary was another key element of the trade fair presence: 40 years of AGRU concrete protective liners. AGRU highlighted its long-standing expertise in concrete protection and corrosion resistance. The exhibited solutions demonstrated how AGRU concrete protective liners help protect critical infrastructure worldwide — even under extreme chemical and mechanical stress.

As part of the “Maintaining Infrastructure & Climate Adaptation” Solutions Tour, AGRU engaged with international industry professionals on the role of durable plastic systems in maintaining and adapting critical infrastructure to future challenges.

For AGRU, IFAT Munich 2026 once again provided an excellent platform for personal exchange, new connections, and exciting project discussions. We sincerely thank all visitors for their interest and look forward to future collaboration.
