A Spanish manufacturer of concrete pipes uses the AGRU Ultra-Grip concrete protective liners to extend the service life of its pipes. The innovative HDPE lining is permanently embedded into the concrete during casting. It creates a watertight, chemically resistant inner surface and thus increases the service life and operational reliability of sewer pipelines.
Conventional concrete pipes are heavily stressed in sewer networks: aggressive media, biogenic sulphuric acid, and mechanical loads attack the material. Ultra-Grip forms a permanent bond between concrete and plastic. The result is pipes with high chemical resistance, optimized hydraulics, and significantly lower maintenance requirements.
The technology is already being used in several Andalusian cities, including Seville and Fuengirola. There, Ultra-Grip lined pipes are replacing or extending existing networks, providing long-term stability and cost-efficient infrastructure.
