To ensure long-term environmental protection and compliance with stringent Dutch regulations, Genap has been entrusted with the installation of the containment system using AGRU's KIWA-certified HDPE geomembranes. The geomembrane lining system has been specifically designed to provide reliable containment performance and long-term durability under demanding landfill operating conditions.
Upon completion, approximately 120,000 m² of smooth HDPE geomembranes and 100,000 m² of textured HDPE geomembranes, both with a thickness of 2.0 mm, will have been installed. The textured geomembranes provide enhanced interface friction on slopes, while the smooth geomembranes ensure exceptional sealing performance in the base areas of the landfill lining system.
AGRU's HDPE geomembranes offer outstanding chemical resistance, excellent mechanical strength, and proven long-term performance in environmental containment applications. Their KIWA certification further confirms compliance with Dutch quality requirements, making them an ideal choice for critical landfill infrastructure projects.
The successful cooperation between Indaver, Genap, and AGRU demonstrates how experienced project partners and premium-quality geosynthetics contribute to safe and sustainable waste containment solutions. Once completed, the new landfill cell will provide reliable environmental protection and support Indaver's long-term commitment to responsible waste management.
