AGRU is expanding its product portfolio with PP-R GGS liner pipes for FRP dual-laminate applications. AGRU now offers backed liner pipes manufactured from PP‑R, ECTFE, FEP and PFA, as well as PVDF‑HV liner pipes and PVDF‑HV liner fittings.
The standard product range of PP-R GGS liner pipes covers dimensions from OD 32 mm to OD 200 mm. Standard pipe lengths are 4.8 m for OD 32 mm and 5.8 m for all larger dimensions (> OD 32 mm).
PP-R is used as the liner material. This material has proven its reliability over many years, particularly in demanding chemical processing applications such as the chlor-alkali industry.
In addition, AGRU manufactures a comprehensive range of unbacked PP-R fittings. This ensures optimum material compatibility and seamless system integration throughout the entire piping system.

The innovation in welding tech-nology now makes it possible to apply the proven AGRU IR welding technology to FRP dual-laminate pipes. A newly developed clamping system enables safe and easy clamping of FRP pipes with varying outer diameters. This allows the inner thermoplastic pipe to be welded reliably using AGRU welding machines SP 110-S V3 and V3.1.
Standard backing rings for plastic stub flanges are often not compatible with FRP stub flanges due to the d₃ (inner diameter) dimension.
The new AGRU backing ring, available up to DN 630 mm, now offers a perfectly tailored solution for this.
